temple square lights

Last week we went to temple square with Mike & Annie.

I am so glad that the weather wasn't that cold. So we enjoyed it better than last year when it was freezzzing.

Annie and I. Look we are the same size. (lol I was on my toes and Annie we bending her knees)

We then went for a drive up through the avenues and Mike showed us this house. It was so cool. The guy was really nice, he was handing out candy canes and he had music playing. He said that he has been collecting these for 14 years.

This was only have of his house I couldn't get the whole house in the picture.

new hair style

This was before I got long hair. And this is baby Brynnlee (niece) when she was 2 1/2 weeks old.
Then on 12/07 my nephew Brody was born and this is me with long hair. My friend at work said that she would put the extendtions in for free so all I had to do was buy the hair.

It took 4 days to complete the process because the first day I had to get them put in then the next day I got my roots colored then the next day I got more put in then the next I got my hair cut. This was at cookie cutters so I had to get a picture of me on clifford.

This was after the hair cut.

And this was before the hair cut. Over all I love it and I don't want to have another hair appointment for a while.

surprise trip

Two weeks ago I worked too many hours in just a few days so I have to take an extra day off of work and so I had 3 days off in a row. Which worked out great because the weather was great so I decided to go to St. George and surprise my family with my presents. :) I love Matthew's eyes in this picture, I think the flash scared him.
My mom of course had tears of joy to see me just walk in. lol This is Jake and I hanging out watching some Nemo. I was at Angie's most of the days sewing and getting everthing ready for Brynnlee. I wish she would have had her when I was down visiting but she's here now.

I got there on Tuesday night and I got to see everyone that night even though it was late and the kids should have been in bed, I was glad that they were still awake to see their Aunt Lynny! The next night we all went swimming at Cody's house, ate pizza and played tennis. I am really sorry Hiromi that you had to have me on your team. I'll have to practice a bit more. The next night Cody took me to a movie and dinner, what a sweet brother. Right before I left to go back home on Friday Jayme wanted to go to lunch with me so this is a picture of us at a Chinese Buffet but Jayme wasn't in the picture because she was taking it. Sorry Jayme for taking you back to school late.

And this was the weather, something that I hadn't felt in months. Thanks family for making my trip so much fun. And thanks Jayme and Cody for letting me sleep on your beds while you two slept on the floors. :) Thanks Matt for letting me go and sorry that you had to work and be without me, good thing for Xbox's so you didn't get too bored.

fall vacation

Matt and I went to Moab this past week for our family vaction. I had never been there but Matt has. I think that we went the perfect week, the weather was great and the colored leaves were so beautiful. The first night we were there was stayed at the KOA campground. Matt's parents were in their camper so they were right across from us. The next morning Jane made french toast and eggs for us to test out the stove in their new camper.
For the next four nights we stayed at a townhouse right outside of town. On Tuesday we went to the Arches National Park which was alot of fun to see all the different arches and all the red dirt. On Thursday we went to Canyonlands National Park which was even more amazing.

This was the townhouse we stayed in. In this picture we were eating Numero Uno Pizza that Bob and Jane brought ALL the way up from California when they had gone down in September. Even though it was 4 weeks frozen it was still just as good and still the best.
This was on an off roading trail that we had gone on with Jon(matt's brother) and Aidan(nephew). We didn't want Aidan to hit his head on the side of the car so we made him wear my bike helmet. Matt just told me that it is the law if the child is under 8 so good thing that we did. Good thing that Matt is such a great little driver.

ummm...well...okay Matt was driving and I told him when he got on a good incline to let me sit in the drivers seat to make it look like I did it. We even put Aidan in the drivers seat and took pictures. We had such a fun trip, we even went on Hell's Revenge but we went on a tour so we could enjoy it to its fullest. The Hummer tour was alot of fun. Aidan had a blast too. Thanks for all the family that could make it.

my recovery

This is my foot before the surgery. (wow what a bone)
Here it is about 3 weeks after. Today its been 5 weeks. The doctor said that I can start putting it in a shoe instead of my boot......but sadly I tried every left shoe I owned and I can't get my foot into any of them. I thought that I would be out of my boot for good in one more week but now I am not sure because I don't know what shoes I would wear. But for the most part I am really glad that I am taking care of my feet now so later in life they won't cause me any problems.
This is a picture of me I took tonight so there wouldn't just be pictures of my foot on this post. :) Isn't Flannigan cute?!

foot surgery

On Tuesday I went to have a bunionectomy. I closed my eyes for "one minute" and I woke up and it was all done. I spent one night and then came home on Wednesday morning. I go back to work next Friday which is kinda soon but I will mostly just be doing computer work so I think I should be okay but we will just have to wait and see.
Matt has been so good to me taking care of me, getting me flowers. When I got home he had this set up for me with a tv tray and the pillows and blankets. He carrys me to the bathroom when I need to go because it still hurts to put weight on it. He makes me meals and serves them to me. I bet he can't wait for me to get my other foot done. Yesterday I was in pain but today it really hasn't been too bad. Our friends Brad & Stephanie came over last night and made us dinner which was yummy. Kilie brought us Lime Rickeys which are my favorite.
This was me getting ready today, Matt thought that it was funny. He got a bath all ready for me today, he has just been the best. Thanks honey for being so sweet to me.

cooking for my family

My friend Kilie invited me to go to her mother's ward enrichment last night. The Food Nanny was there and taught us the importance of cooking dinner and eating as a family. I bought her cook book (which they sell at costco) and I love it. There is over 200 awesome recipes.
I made bread today that only took 45 minutes from start to finish. It was so easy too. But Kilie and I decided that if we were going to be cooking all these wonderful meals for our husbands that we better have a dang cute apron to cook in. So we made these aprons today which took us alittle while but we did it.

This is the front cover of the cook book if you are interested. There is also a website thefoodnanny.com.

some old pictures

I was looking at some old pictures today and thought that I would post some. This was at Mike and Annie wedding in February 13, 2004.
Matt and I starting dating in October 2003. Dated one year and got married.
After just two weeks of dating Matt told me that he loved me. How cute is he :)

These last two pictures were the summer of 2004. Sherilyn was taking pictures of us and we ended up using them for our engagements.

This picture was December 2004 in our first appartment in downtown SLC. When we moved Matt had a job but I didn't. I had to get one pretty soon so we could pay bills. Our rent was $435. (wow that would be great to have that rent again.) We were young but I wouldn't change a thing.

Utah Symphony

Utah Symphony

We used my free tickets that I won from the rodeo to go to the utah symphony. It was at the Thanksgiving Point outdoor Waterfall Amphitheater.
Jon, Sherilyn, Matt and my friend Stephanie all went. It turned out to be a lot of fun. I didn't know that I would enjoy it as much as I did.
It was so relaxing to just hang out on the grass and listen to the music play.
Matt was being Matt in this picture he looked away on purpose that silly boy. All of us wearing black was not planned, I guess we all just think a like.

"...and they called the thing a Rodeo"

Today we went to Daybreak Lake. Its a park in Daybreak that has a beach which is the closest thing I am getting to California this year.
It was a little cloudy and 90 degrees and it felt great.

Sherilyn invited us to go with her and the kids. (thank you Sher)

I thought that it was so pretty with all the mountains around. Its so nice to only be about 20 minutes away from this. I'm sure that we will be coming here a lot more now that we know about it.

Last Saturday I went to the Lehi Round Up with my friend Kilie and her husband. Matt didn't come because he's just not that into rodeos and cowboys and stuff.

But I am so I went and had a blast.

I had a stamp on my program so I won 6 tickets to go to the Utah Symphony at Thanksgiving Point. It was either that or 100 dollars off of a tatoo.
So here I come symphony!

After the rodeo is over they have a dirt dance in the arena I didn't dance but I wanted a picture my the stalls. This is what I would look like if I was a bull. Scary right?!

After we went to the lake today we went to Ice Age 3 and when we come out so did the rain so atleast we had a half a day of summer today. Then we got home to the power out so I had no choice but to clean the house. But after 3 hours we didn't know what to do so we watched x-men 2 on Matt's little PSP and then the power came back on. Matt and I are so glad that summer is here because its about time.

Graf family reunion

I went to St. George last week for my family reunion.
Matt had to work so I went by myself.
This is us eating at 25 & Main for breakfast.

My dad wanted to take Jayme and I for a little hike. Well sense it was just a little hike we didn't take any food just water. 7 hours and 12 miles later we got back to the car where there was food to eat. Man was I sure sore the next couple of days.

We mostly played scum and sevens and ate lunch in Pine Valley. It was fun to see all my extened family again.
It was nice to be with my family for father's day, it was my first time in five years.
Being with my family for five days was lots of fun but it was really hard to be away from Matt for so long. I couldn't wait to be back to see him.
