Park City

For my brother Cody's 29th Birthday he wanted to go to Park City. He had never been there. We went through Heber City and stopped at Granny's Drive-In to get shakes (they have really great shakes). The girl that was working there was nice enough to sing happy birthday to cody over the intercom. I think that he got alittle imbaressed but he liked it.
We then went and rode the alpine slide and the coster and went down the zip line. They were pretty fun. We also checked out the outlet mall in the rain, it was very wet running from store to store. Cody comes up for a convention every year and it is always on his birthday, but I don't mind hang out with my big brother on his birthday.
We also sold Matt's car on tuesday I had posted it on craigslist and about 1 minute later we had a call and he said that he would be on his way. We had to run outside to clean it up real fast. When the family came to get it the car wouldn't even start because it had been sitting there for about 3 months. After about an hour of jump starting it and pushing it, it finally turned on. I was so happy.

Febreeze came home!

Febreeze came home today from the ICU at Creekside Animal Hospital. She is doing better but still very weak. She was there for 3 days. On Tuesday Matt heard a screem that sounded like a child so he ran down stairs and Febreeze was screeming and having a seizure. We took her to the hospital to see what was wrong. She had low blood sugar and he has a bad liver. With the medicine from the doctor she has been doing fine. The doctor said that she was hallucinating and that is why she was scared and screeming. She basically went crazy. We are just happy to have her home now.

Yellowstone Vaction

This years vaction we went with Matt's family to Yellowstone National Park.
We slept in our car and it was bear proof. We stay safe even when the bison came into our campground not too many feet away from us. Lets just say that I didn't want to get our of the car that day, I even had to eat my breakfast in the car because I got so scared. We went on a boat ride for an hour "cruise" on Yellowstone Lake. It was the biggest boat I had ever been on. As you can see I haven't been on too many boats in my life. This was my favorite it is called Isa Lake it was beautiful. I wish that I had this lake in my backyard. The lake was covered in lilly pads and yellow flowers.
After a while of seeing soooo many stinky hot pots and mud pots Matt started calling them fart pots because the more we saw them the smellier they got, until we couldn't take it anymore. But they are pretty amazing how they work and all. We took so many pictures if you want to see them I put them on myspace, just click on the link to the right of my page to see them. Thank you Reed family for making the trip so much fun we love you. And Happy Birthday Suzanne (Matt's favoritest sister ever), sorry you couldn't make it on the trip.

pioneer day!

Happy Birthday Utah! We celebrated by making costumes and dressing up like pioneers. We had a picnic at the Draper city park.
(We thought that this white back ground looked like a barn.)
You can see our "handcarts" in the back.
As sisters in Zion...
Matt is such a great husband he followed us around and took the pictures for us. thanks matt! After all the picture taking we ate brownies and told pioneer stories. I really enjoy living in Utah, the mountains are so beautiful.

new car

We bought our first car today F J Cruiser 2008. We just went to test drive one just to see what they were like. We like it a lot. We thought about getting a truck but this way we can still put kids in the back. We plan on having this car for a very long time.
Matt even let me drive it home from the dealer. He is so sweet. We can't wait to take it camping in 2 weeks to Yellowstone. I hope it is bear proof, I will have to read the manual.

We also went and saw The Dark Knight today and it was awesome. :)

my mini vaction while never even leaving

My family came up on Tuesday to stay with us for 4 days. We went to Thanksgiving Point the evening that they came up.
The next day was my work party at Lagoon. I got very sun burt as usually. Last year a won a BBQ in the drawing and this year I won...nothing at all. :(
On Thursday they shopped all day while we had to work. Matt and I caught up with them that night to go to the Mayan. No matter how many times I have eaten their it is always a fun place. Friday morning we went rolling bladding on the trail next to my house for about two hours. Then went ice skating in Provo.
After ice skating we took a lunch up to Battle Creek Falls and went on a hike to the waterfall. It felt great standing by the waterfalls' mist. Thank you family for coming to stay, we had fun!

dang I am good.......not really

Independence Day

In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commermorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. (-Wikipedia)

Our Fourth of July was a lot of fun. Matt & I first went to work because we don't ever get holiday's off, except Christmas (the grocery stores are closed). We had a BBQ at our house with Jon, Sherilyn, Aidan and Mikell. We then went to Thanksgiving Point to watch the fireworks. There were tons of people, so I thought that the fireworks would be amazing since so many people came to watch. But they weren't that great, there was no music playing or that many fireworks in their grand finally but we still had a great time hanging out and spending time with eachother. It was still fun enough that we are planning on doing the same thing next year.
This was my only decoration that I bought just before leaving work. And those yummy treats behind are homemade oreo cookies which turned out great. Matt thought that there wasn't enough frosting in the middle so he had to make them all double stuffed. I hope everyone had an exciting holiday, I look forward to reading about it on your blogs.
