Cold Raging Waters

This was "fun" Raging Waters. It was freezing cold, there was no sunny sun and we mostly just sat wrapped up in blankets. I couldn't wait to go to a water park this year so in June we thought it would be warm enough to go but nope it wasn't. This was about 3 weeks ago so it is warm now but atleast they gave us free tickets to come back. It was for Jon's (matts' brother) Jet Blue work party. Right before we were going to leave I finally got in the wave pool (which is my favorite). It was kinda warm but not really.
Afterwards we went to Mike & Annies' to have a BBQ, by then the sun was out and it was warm and it made the day a lot better.

Timpanogos Caves

Today Matt, Jon, Mike, Annie and me went to the Timpanogos Caves. They were amazing. The cave always stays 43 degrees in winter & summer so even though we were hiking in 95 degree weather we still had to take sweaters. The hike is a mile and a half up hill to the caves. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the top. Then the tour is about an hour.
This is the heart of Timpanogos. There were so many things in the caves I had only seen on the movie Planet Earth, which Matt and I just watched like two weeks ago. There are three caves and they all are very different from eachother.
After coming out of the cave on our way down the mountain Matt saw a snake and I heard a rattle. Of course I just wanted to run but the boys said not to. The rattle snake was right by us and it looked like it was ready to jump on us. They slowly walked past it and I fastly ran by it screaming.
We have been planning our trip to Yellow Stone and we want to do more hikes this year than we did on couple of years ago on our last Reed family vaction to Yellow Stone. We only stayed a night when we went last because we went up to Glacier National Park. This time we are going to stay a week. This was the first hike we did to get ready for it and we didn't do too bad. But maybe in the morning I will say other wise.
If anyone knows other fun hikes around here let me know. We have already done a lot in big cotton wood canyon so other than that please do share.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

My friend Stefanie had this on her blog and I took it. I thought it was fun. You can see I was Esmerelda which I haven't ever seen that movie but maybe I will have to now. It said:

Mysterious and passionate. You are a survivor. Even though life has swung you some difficult situations you have a strong intuition that gets you through. Also, you have the capacity to sympathize and relate to a variety of different people.

Give it a try and let me know which one you are.

~ st. george ~

We had our family pictures taken but I haven't gotten those yet but I did have this one from my camera. My family hasn't taken a real family pictures sense I was 16 years old so it was fun to do it again. With just 4 kids it was hard for them to sit still and smile. I can't wait until there are even more kids. We went to the Brigham Young home to take them. I wanted somewhere really green.

After we got our pictures done with, we all went to eat at the Panda Garden. Matt's parents were able to come too. Everytime we go down we have to go eat there. Last time we went was the first time we weren't able to go because they were remodeling it.

The next day my brother Cody took Matt and me on a hike in snow canyon. He is a hiking guide for the spa he works at. He took us on one of his advanced hikes which was really fun and advanced, it went straight up and then down. But it was great. I am sure feeling it today though.
We were really high up and you could see all the red mountains. The echos in the canyon went forever.
After getting back from hiking we went to Pizza Factory to eat. We wanted to go the the Texas Road House to eat but it wasn't open for lunch. We had a fun quick two days in St. George but it was good. Jakes birthday party was fun the food was great. It was fun to watch him mash his elmo cake. Happy 1st Birthday Jake thanks for inviting us to go down there and stay at your house. I have more pictures on myspace.com/chalynr

strep throat

About a month ago Matt's niece Abby had strep throat and gave it to Suzanne which then I got it and so kindly gave it to my mom and my brother and Matthew. oops! Matt didn't think he had it because I had gotten over it about a week and a half ago. (and had it for 2 1/2 weeks) He didn't get it until Saturday. But sense I didn't go to the instacare to get medicine it was posible for Matt to just now get it. We just got back from instacare so I just thought I would worn everyone so anyone that was around us in the past week if you start feeling feverish it's because we shared our sickness with you. You are welcome it was tons of fun.

Summer Sewing

I finally got around to making my summer purse. I haven't made that many this year which is weird because I use to make about one every other week. And so far I have only done about three this year. So if anyone wants one let me know, and I will be glad to make one for you.

gReAt JoB mATt

Matt has been trying to catch this mouse in our garage for about 2 weeks. He put peanut butter on the trap and everyday the mouse some how would eat it and run off. Last night he put a marshmallow on the trap and today we had a dead mouse. So if you ever have mice problems try marshmallows.

Today Matt also had somemore great news, he had put in for a Grocery Manager position at Albertsons in Orem and got it. He will start on Monday the 26th. I am so proud of him for all of his hard work. We always said that if he would get this job then we would first pay off the credit cards then buy a Playstaion 3 and then a new car. Well I love him too much and we just got done watching a movie on our new PS3 :) We don't have that much credit card debt so I thought it was a good decision... I think. Anyways great job Matt I love you!
