no more long hair

I had long hair for five months so I thought that it was time to have my short hair back for the summer. I had Matt take them out. He did good but I hope that he doesn't have a future in this.
My hair felt so short after but my hair did get a lot longer because I didn't cut my hair for six months. It feel great to be able to scratch my head again.

a little bike ride

My friend Stephanie and I had the day off from work and decided that we would go on a bike ride. We rode to Thanksgiving Point and sat on the grass and ate lunch. By the time I got home I had gone about 14 or 16 miles. It felt great doing it but the next day it didn't feel too great to sit on my bum. I even have a gel seat and everything but I was still sore for about 5 days.
We went on this bike ride back in April and when I see flowers I think hooray its spring...but yesterday was May 11th and it snowed. I hope that summer wasn't cancelled this year because have been waiting for it for a long time.

I did get a little sun, I thought that my tan/burn line from wearing my gloves was funny.

Matt's Birthday

On April 11th Matt turned 27. We had his party at the park. Seeing as we can't have a nice day without wind it was VERY windy. But at least it was snowing right.
He always wants an ice cream cake so he always gets one.
It was a cookie dough cake from coldstone.

This is some of the family and friends that came.
We played some frisbee and soccer and man was I out of shape.

Afterwards we came back to our house to play board games and chat. It was so cute Mikell fell fast asleep on her Uncle Matt.

spring cleanning

One of our goals for the spring time was to clean out our garage.
TWO years later in spring time it happened. Matt did a great job! It was windy and cold outside so I stayed inside. Before the clean sweep it was pretty bad. I didn't take a picture because I was at work when he had started it. You know that it is really bad when you can barely park your little car in there. So trust me this is diamonds now.

Yesterday was our nephew Brody's baby blessing. Just look at our Reed family grow!!!

2 weekends in a row

With Matt's new job change over he has been working a lot of hours. He had to work until 12 pm on Friday night so we woke up at 5 am and drove to St. George to make it there by 10 am for Bradley's baptism. Then the next day on Sunday was Brynnlee's blessing.
It was a very short and sweet trip but we had a lot of fun. We went and played Pickleball at the indoor courts. Now I can't get enough of it but I can't find any place in Salt Lake to play it. That night we played board games. One of the games we played is called "the game of things...". I just went and bought it today and I can't wait to play it again. (i got it at target)
The following Wednesday my sister in law Annie went through the temple for the first time. She chose the Manti temple. We hadn't been to that one yet so it was fun to go through it. They took us on a little tour and we got to see the huge staircase. The didn't let us go up it but that was probably a good thing because I didn't bring my camelpak. :) There is a sealing room at the top and there is no elavator so the people that you invite better be able to make it up.

That same week that we had just gotten back from St. George I went back down on Friday night. I went with Matt's sister because he had to stay and work. Mike and Annie got sealed in the St. George temple on Saturday.
So in one week I went to a baby blessing, a baptism, a endowment and a sealing. What a busy week but it was really great.

funny story

We are going to St. George this weekend for my nephew's baptism and my nieces baby blessing. So my dad called me tonight to ask where we were going to sleep when we are down. I had just missed the call so I listen to the message and returned his call with a text staying that I was going to stay at my brothers. We text back and worth for a few minutes then about five minutes later I received a text saying "Love ya." I thought to myself wow that was delayed but how sweet. Then my brother calls me to tell me why it took my dad took a little bit to say love ya to me and its because he text it to the president of the key club, a high school boy. Out of all the text that he was sending me tonight he happened to text a teenage boy "Love ya." The boy replies "WHAT?" My dad then had to quickly call the kid to say sorry I was trying to text my daughter. My dad has a smart phone but just because its smart you still need to know how to use it. Love ya too Dad.

monday in the mountains

We finally made it to go snow blading this winter. We are going to start going every monday.
We always go to the free bunny hill at alta. Every time we get on the lift the guy there makes fun of us.
He did it all last year too. I don't understand why skiers hate us so much. Last year he said, "Do you know whats worse than snow boarders? snow bladers." Then today he said, "Which one is Larry, Curly and Moe." His jokes are very bad but I still want to ask him what his problem is.

But since we go to alta every week for free I better just keep my mouth shut. lol I hope to get really good on my blades this year and maybe even upgrade to real ski's but we shall see. :)
