Swiss Days

We thought that we had better go to St. George for the last time this year before the snow starts. So I pick the weekend of Swiss Days. Growing up we would go to swiss days every year. My swiss mormon pioneer ancestors are settlers of Santa Clara.
My two brothers and my sister ran in the 5K which meant waking up at 5:30 on a saturday morning to run for fun. Matt didn't run because why would anybody want to he said. But atleast he was there watching me. I was the 16th person...well girl...in my age group but out of 350 people I was 122th. Brad, Jayme and I all ran together and Cody was about 6 mintues in front of us. We did it in 31 mintues which I was just glad that I made it without stopping.
After the run there was a pancake breakfast.
To cool off because it was still 96 degrees down there was went swimming in my brothers pool. We mostly just played keep away which was really fun. The swimming came to an end when my nephew swallowed too much water and throw up in the pool.
Later that night we celebrated my 22nd birthday(which is really oct. 6th but I don't mind having two parties). My whole family together and even Matt's parents were able to be there. I like this picture Matt looks like he can't wait for me to blow out those candles. I had such a great weekend spending time with my family. Thanks Matt for working 11 days in a row for me just so we could take those 3 days off. Love you!

Trick-or-Treat Bags

The other night I got out all the halloween decorations to start getting things ready for the best holiday ever...Halloween. That has always been my favorite because my birthday is in October. Anyway I saw by old trick-or-treat bag that my mom made for me when I was younger and so I wanted to make some for an Enrichment service auction. Well I couldn't just make one so I made seven, so if anyone wants one let me know.
Matt even helped by doing all the ironing. What a great husband I have. You only have about six weeks until the "big night".

state fair

Tonight we went to the Utah State Fair. It smelt like dirty animals' poo. It was down town salt lake so it took about 40 minutes to drive there and about 30 minutes just to find a parking spot. We got free tickets from Jon's friend and I have been wanting to go anyway.
I hadn't been to a fair in a long time so it was good to go. The kids were cute to watch on the rides. Thank you Sherilyn for inviting us it was fun.

mountain biking

On Monday Matt and I went mountain biking in Orem. It was on a rocky dirt trail going up hill. It was "fun" pushing my bike all the way up. I tried to ride it but I kept sliding back down.
When we got to the top I couldn't wait for the down hill part. We took the streets back which was tons of fun because they were pretty steep. I think I ate about 100 bugs though. Little did we know that we went too far down hill and had to go back up a huge hill to get back to our car. I could barely walk. It took about 25 minutes just to walk up it with the bikes, it would have taken 2 minutes to drive. Oh well I needed the work out that is why we went. But next time we will stick to the right trail.

no boys tonight!

Last night the sister-in-laws all left their husbands / kids to spend a night out on the town. First stop was Joanns. We got halloween fabric to make us and our men some pj bottoms. Mine you can see is going to be candy corn.
It was fun getting the fabric and all but next time I don't think I will go late at night the lady in the background is smiling in the picture but she wasn't too happy to help us cut all our fabric.
After that we went to Iggy's seeing as it was 10 at night and not too many places were still open. It was Suzanne and Sherilyn's birthday in August so we went to celebrate. I am sooo glad that us sister-in-laws get to hang out so much together we are so close and can share everything with eachother. I love you sisters thanks a bunch!
