thanksgiving at my house

The Bird
The Feast

The Family

The Pie
Thanksgiving turned out wonderfully at my house this year. We ate and ate some more. I had to work a half day so I put the turkey in the oven we before I left and ask Matt to made the rolls. He was so great to mix all the ingredients together and let it rise so when I got home I could do the rest. Sherilyn made a very good jello salad and Mike brought the pies, (thank you Annie for making them). Then we watched Kung Fu Panda while our belly rested.

The Every Day Grind

I've been Picture Tagged...and you might be next! The rules are you have to take pictures of the following things. You have to do it right away. No straightening, cleaning, or wiping your child's nose. And then tag five others. (Angie, Hiromi, Stefanie, Aubrey, Tasha) Beware you might be next!
1. Fridge
Matt and I each get our own milk. (Matt likes the fat.) And yes we do have 2 turkeys in our fridge, one is really just for leftovers.

2. Closet
On Sunday Matt and I cleaned out "our" (we each have our own, too many clothes) closets and went through everything and it took us two hours. I can't believe that I really hung up all my clothes. This is a first for me. There are more but they are behind the door.
3. Favorite Room
This is the best room where I live 24-7 (minus 20) watching tv. I love it.

4. Your Bathroom
Well this is my part of the bathroom any, I know that it is just a sink but it is my very own.

5. Your Bedroom
I only make my bed 2 out of 7 days of the week. Deal with it.

6. Kitchen Sink
I have to say that I have been pretty good about keeping the dishes out of the sink.
7. Favorite Shoes
These are pretty basic. I love shoes because you can never have too many.

8. What your Kids are doing right now
Well this is as close as I am getting right now. Febreeze is even smiling for the picture. (sorry about the poo in the picture.)
9. Self Portrait
WoW! This is me when I had to work at 5 a.m. today and now it is 10:30 at night and I am still awake face.

i love my hobbies

Tonight I made this purse. It is a new style than I usually make. Then I messed up at the top when I was sewing the finishing stich and Stefanie said to just stick a flower over it. I combined my sewing hobby with my knitting addiction. Then I made Stefanie start a scarf of her own that way she wasn't just sitting there watching me sew. (you are welcome stef for me sharing my addictions with you.) :0)

Fall Fun

Even though there is snow all around outside I still like to pretend that the weather is still fall time. I made these pumpkins the other day because my sister was telling me that she saw them on my brothers friends blog.
Then last night I made this beanie to match a scraf that I already have. I have been wanting to learn how to make the flowers that go on the beanies so I did.
I don't think that my head will get cold all winter because of all the knitware I will be making & wearing.

new camera

My birthday present came last week. Matt got me a new camera. I had my last camera for 4 years and I am going from a 3 mega pixel to now a 10 mega pixel. What a jump! Thank you Matt and you are welcome for me getting the black one instead of getting the pink camera.

halloween party

The night before Halloween we had our ward trunk or treat party. It was Matt and my first time going. We didn't know that most people don't really decorate their trunks so we totally had the coolest one. We had the nightmare before christmas soundtrack playing with a black light lighting up the white sider web. I wish I would have taken a picture with the flash off so you could see. The kids really like it and we ran out of candy fast. Matt and I wore our bowling shirts that my family gave to us for Matt's birthday.

For the halloween party at Suzanne's house we were Uma Thurman and John Travolta from Pulp Fiction. Matt even asked me if he could borrow my eyeliner so he could draw a line on his chin so it would look like John's butt chin.

Here is what they look like. Matt was bumbed that we couldn't find a wig for him to wear.

This was the look I was going for. But I wasn't smoking.

cornbelly's

I am missing October already. I miss that it doesn't snow in that month and all the fun halloween things we get to do. This is at Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. We went last year to it and then decided to go again this year.

Lou was having fun with me taking her down the slide. Aidan is in the right corner on his tummy. I wish I was brave enough to do that.

Then Sherilyn, Mikell and I raced. I won but I think I might have gone a little early. (Sorry for cheating I didn't mean to I just couldn't wait to go down.)
